Jones Legacy Ventures (JLV) is the parent company of two divisions, Building Materials and Commercial Services. It is our mission to proudly serve the needs of the residential and commercial construction industry with quality products and specialized services.

Jones Legacy Ventures Brand Story

The origin of the JLV story began in Texas (1950s) with Cassity and Thomas Jones, who together developed businesses ranging from home building to wholesale groceries. The brothers then turned their interest exclusively to lumber and building materials and opened Panola Lumber Company in Carthage, Texas.

When Cassity took over as sole owner of the company, it became Cassity Jones Lumber & Building Materials, expanding into Do-It-Yourself (DIY) sales in several retail locations. Later, the company realigned itself and focused on the needs of the professional construction industry.

During the 70s and 80s, Cassity’s sons (John, Jimmy, and Jerry) joined the family business, which they eventually purchased from their father, ensuring his legacy for generations to come.

As the company began to expand through the acquisition of related businesses, a holding company was formed in 2008 – Jones Legacy Ventures. Today, JLV is comprised of two related, yet distinct divisions – Building Materials and Commercial Services.

Cassity Jones’ principle-centered leadership and entrepreneurial spirit continues to live on and remains a cherished legacy, as well as the foundation of Jones Legacy Ventures’ culture and values.
